Geometric Patchwork Throw Blanket

This 57" x 48.5" patchwork throw is my latest labor of love. I used a classic Half-Square Triangle (HST) layout but kept it modern with a curated, bright palette of pink, aqua, sage green, and warm gold. It’s the perfect size to actually use—whether you're curling up on the couch to binge a new show or tossing it over a reading chair to look pretty.

Literally Handmade By Me (From Scratch)
When I say handmade, I mean it was just me, a cutting mat, and some really loud podcasts in my studio. I don’t use pre-made panels or outsource the hard parts. I did every single step myself:

The Fabric Pull & Piecing: I hand-selected this mix of geometric, floral, and slightly quirky novelty cotton prints (yes, those are tiny spectacles/glasses in there, and yes, I'm obsessed). Every single triangle was precisely cut, matched, and pressed so the points actually line up.

The Longarm Quilting: Once the top was finished, I loaded it onto my own professional longarm machine. I chose a fluid, edge-to-edge loop and swirl motif to soften up all those sharp geometric angles. It gives the blanket the perfect weight and a really cozy drape.

The Binding: I finished it off with a clean, traditional double-fold pink binding. It’s machine-stitched for maximum durability, because beautiful things should still be able to survive real life.

Because I handled every single cut and stitch from start to finish, I can promise you the quality is entirely there.

How to Wash It
This blanket is meant to be lived in, not hidden away. Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle with mild detergent, and tumble dry on low. Pro tip: Laundering it is where the magic happens. It will give you that gorgeous, classic "quilt crinkle" texture that only authentic handmade pieces get.

CARE

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors and tumble dry low. Because this quilt is sold unwashed and is made entirely from cotton, some shrinkage is expected after the first wash. Washing and drying will also create the soft, lightly crinkled texture associated with cotton quilts.

Please note that monitor and phone screens can display colors differently. Small variations in stitching and construction are normal characteristics of a handmade quilt.
